Drink Recipe: Mango Raspberry Margarita

Classic drinks like Sangria & Margaritas come with the notion of being fruity, light, fun & extra tasty while still providing a bit of a powerful punch. While most blended cocktails stick to a single flavor, we decided to try our favorite Mango smoothie with a dash of Raspberry. This recipe would work excellent with blackberry or strawberries as well, but if you enjoy your drinks more on the tart side – this is the one for you. We recommend using as many fresh ingredients as you can.

Serving Size: 5-6 margaritas

What You’ll Need:

Half Raspberry Margarita:
1 1/2 cups raspberries (frozen optional)
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
3/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup chambord (raspberry liqueur)
1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)
3 cups ice 

Half Mango Margarita:
2 cups mango (frozen optional)
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
3/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup triple sec
1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)
3 cups crushed ice

1. Prepare your glass by wetting the rim w/ the lime wedge & dipping it in the salt/sugar
(depending on your taste for the day.)

2. Make the raspberry Margarita first (due to it’s darker color) then pour directly into the glass.
3. Rinse the blender & then make mango.

4. Pouring 50/50, with a few additional garnishes on the top, makes it aesthetically pleasing.
5. Pour Raspberry blend carefully into the Margarita glass.
6. Pour half of the Mango Margarita mix on top.

7. Using a straw slowly stir the drink to create the desired red streaking throughout the drink.
8. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve with raspberries or cut of mango on the side.
10. Repeat for all servings.
11. Serve chilled with a wedge of lime.
If using fresh mangoes, the pulp of one or two mangoes should be perfect.

Made mostly with fresh ingredients, thanks to the mangoes & raspberries that are freshly blended, with an addition of triple sec & tequila – this easy DIY Margarita is not one to miss. For an additional kick, replace the salt/sugar that rims the glass w/ chile powder (assure infused salt is included.)
